CollegeNET Now Provides Hosted Services for Datatel Colleague Customers

New Interface for Colleague Enables SaaS Option for CollegeNET Scheduling Tool

Portland, OR, September 30, 2011

CollegeNET, Inc., a leading developer of Web-based on-demand technologies for higher education, today announced that it now offers hosted support of its scheduling and planning solution Series25 for Datatel Colleague customers. Although CollegeNET and Datatel systems have been compatible for years, currently operating together on over 200 colleges and universities across the country, this latest technological breakthrough means that Datatel Colleague customers can now choose CollegeNET systems on a database-at-customer-site basis or as a hosted, software as a service (SaaS) model.

The SaaS model is a preferred option for many campuses because it eliminates the cost of purchasing, installing and maintaining software, and it frees up IT staff for other IT needs. CollegeNET SaaS customers have access to ongoing product upgrades and unlimited user support. A more complete explanation of the benefits of SaaS systems can be found on the CollegeNET site.

Julia Noonan, vice president of sales for CollegeNET commented, "CollegeNET has enjoyed a long standing partnership with Datatel and this advancement means we can work together to help customers take full advantage of hosted services and offer more campuses the benefits of our SaaS technology."
